Valenti Flooring is also a NWFA Certified Professional in both Wood Floor Installation and Sanding and Finishing. NWFA Certified Professionals are specifically trained in their area of expertise. They must pass a test to earn their credentials and complete continuing education to maintain their certifications. Certified Installer (license # 402816) and a Certified Sand & Finisher (license # 558716).
Phil grew up in Medford, Long Island and attended Patchogue-Medford High School. After graduating from high school, he joined the US Army and received the Expeditionary Medal of Service for his tour of duty in Saudi Arabia. After his service in the military, Phil returned to Long Island and began working in the hardwood flooring industry. A master in all things relating to hardwood flooring, Phil started his own company, Valenti Flooring. He is a gifted artisan, and an expert at his craft, with almost 20 years of experience. When he is not working, Phil enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
Julia is originally from Jackson, Mississippi, where her family has been in the forestry and timber business for over 65 years. She moved to New York in 1999 to attend Columbia University and graduated with honors in 2003. Julia worked as a US Park Service Ranger at the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and also as a fully licensed tour guide of New York City. Prior to managing Valenti Flooring, Julia was a successful real estate agent in Manhattan, first starting her own company and then moving on to Douglas Elliman. She has been in the customer service industry since she was 18 years old, and now manages the day-to-day operations of Valenti Flooring. Julia and Phil are avid travelers and enjoy working together. Their son, Nash Valenti, has just turned 2 years old.
